The Unholy Trinity (2025)

@hongster I use it in several of my VPSs and VMs. Good thing about it compared to Duplicati is metadata is saved together with your backup. It also does incremental backups so you won’t necessarily use up huge backup storage. Finally, it encrypts your backups automatically before it sends to the external repository. I usually use Backblaze as my repository.

Tried to make a Facebook Page for DeutsFlix, my personal movie stash for friends.
All I wanted: post to my own Page via API.
What I got: use cases, business portfolio links, locked permissions, and zero “consumer” options.

Facebook isn’t for hobbyists anymore. It’s all ads and enterprise gatekeeping. Moving to the fediverse where personal projects still belong.

#Caddy is supposed to be a simple and lightweight reverse proxy service. Three lines of code and you’re good to go! Not a 3 container stack like #CaddyManager github.com/∞

When can we try #Obsidian #Bases out now?

Ever wonder what’s the difference between #Docmost and #Outline? Check this out, this is a work in progress: infobase.pytheon.org/∞

From @tailscale #Tailscale documentation:

Taildrop permits you to share files between devices that you are logged in to, even if access control policies are used to restrict access to the devices. You cannot use Taildrop to send files to and from nodes you have tagged.

Well, that’s a bummer! How can you expect people to use #Taildrop when users usually tag their devices in order to group them accordingly for easy access control rules?

He probably meant OTP over SMS. There are also authenticator apps, you know, that are far safer than over SMS.

Tried out Windows 10 LTSC. One bump: no built-in Windows Terminal, and I’m already considering switching back to Windows 11 Pro. Can’t even do Ctrl + Shift + V in Command Prompt to paste from the clipboard!

While installing Windows 10 LTSC, was going through the list of my must-have apps. One of those is WordWeb for a time now. Now I’m wondering if there’s still have a need for that. ChatGPT can help me better with word definitions, synonyms and antonyms.
