Monday — February 07, 2011Commenting System at Tumblr
Tumblr is so proud to declare that they have no intention (EVER) to integrate an in-house commenting system to any blog at Tumblr. Instead, they have replies, reblogs, and likes.
Problem is —
Reblogs - ain’t commenting system at all;
Likes - obvious much less likely to be a commenting system;
Replies - You can’t reply to those who replied to you;
It’s just basically useless, so to stop people from replying to any of my posts, instead of using the integrated Disqus commenting system where we can continue our discussion, I’m turning off the reply option to this blog.
IF YOU WANT TO RESPOND OR COMMENT TO ANY OF MY POSTS HERE, USE THE DISQUS COMMENTING SYSTEM. OTHERWISE, BURN AND GO!
Tumblr to Facebook
Tumblr has been acting weird lately. It does not automatically repost to my Facebook page.
Does anyone here experience the same?
Instead of going after unrelated networks like Ning or even larger blog platforms, Posterous should focus on real dying sites (like Windows Live Spaces), as the gain there may be greater than attacking a thriving community such as Ning.

Network issues on Tumblr Servers Lately →
A new server rack was deployed with a misconfigured network switch, capping throughput at 100 Mbps instead of 1000 Mbps. This lead to intermittent slowness and errors over the last few hours, which has now been fixed.
So that’s the reason why Tumblr has been so slow lately.
Two Years of Tumblr = 1,400 Posts
It has been two years (well, almost!) since I posted my first entry here at Tumblr. A post that’s soliciting advice on how to do about around Tumblr.
Two years later, and now 1,400 posts since then.

A closer look?

Happy 2nd Anniversary to The Unstatement!
P.S. Well, it wasn’t actually yet called The Unstatement back then.

I wonder if this is for Windows. Would be a great app if it is.
Hey, they failed to mention, you can post directly a photo to Tumblr from your computer’s webcam via the post a photo page.

The UnStatement Tumblr Theme
I think I’m getting tired of this theme already. I wonder who’s interested in this if I give you the code.

Without the ads of course.
