Back to Akismet
After Defensio posed a low 89% effectiveness in fighting against spam in I think 2 or 3 days, I’m over it. I can’t stand it anymore. So if for example I receive 100 spams a day, it means around 10 gets past Defensio that I have to manually moderate. It’s really a pain. Now back to Akismet, and installed a complementary plugin, Bad Behaviour.

From Akismet to Defensio
Deactivated Akismet in favor of Defensio yesterday. Today I received 2 spams in my moderation queue. Still have to give Defensio a chance though before we can eventually evaluate which is better between the two services.

Ok so you have just installed Debian for the first time and now want to do something useful with this new Linux box. How about we set up a web server that has php and mysql support. Then we will install phpMyAdmin to make it easier to manage the databases. If you have no idea how to install Debian, see the post, How to get started with Debian before attempting this part.

At the latet release of the FIDE official chess ratings (April 2009), GM Wesley So is in the 89th spot, with a rating of 2641.
This is definitely after he won the first place of Category C in the Corus games.

Don't Always Trust a Fire Drill
A fire alarm, in a large office building, rang at 4 p.m. when almost all of the company’s 500 employees were at work. As usual in such circumstances the entire office was evacuated within 3 minutes & every employee gathered outside.
