Debian 5 Installation Network Problem →
I had the same problem trying to get my 3945 card to work. All I did was ignored that screen during the installation, and when I booted up Lenny, I configured my sources through Synaptic to include contrib and non-free. Then from there, search “iwl” in Synaptic and a firmware package should appear. Just install that and your wireless should work now. You might have to restart.

Disabling Touchpad Tap in PCLinuxOS 2009.1
I just found out how to do it. The option appears not to be available at the menus of the system.
With a fresh install of PCLinuxOS 2009.1, the qsynaptics is already installed. So just open the terminal and type: “qsynaptics” (without the quote, of course), and voila! The options are readily available.
