Finally, Yahoo! Domains Gave Up
Finally, Yahoo! Domains gave up from renewing the domain. It’s their fault. They don’t offer an option to disable auto renew of domain names. Now, they have for the rest of that year. It’ll only take some time before I can actually renew the domain name from another registratar. Whois.Net

The Google Indexer
This site has not yet been indexed by google. What the heck! How much longer do I have to wait before everything will be okay? On other news, I’m wondering what shall I do with the spare domain name, obeertym.com. Don’t have anything in mind. Any suggestion is welcome.

What You Should Know About This Tumblog
Introduction Tumblog or tumblelog (sometimes it’s tlog) is defined by Wikipedia as follows: A variation of a blog that favors short-form, mixed-media posts over the longer editorial posts frequently associated with blogging. Common post formats found on tumblelogs include links, photos, quotes, dialogues, and video. Unlike blogs, tumblelogs are frequently used to share the...

A Great Find in Backtype
A great find for the day, Backtype. According to its about page: “BackType is a service that lets you find, follow and share comments from across the web. Whenever you fill out the “Website” or “URL” field in a comment form when you publish a comment on a blog or other website, BackType attributes it to you. We give comment authors a profile featuring all the...

Tried Out Publr
Been on a try-out of a tumblr competitor, publr, and so far I find tumblr to be more flexible in terms of especially the tags that can be used when customizing your theme. (That’s why I was able to customize it to look like this.) Anyway, but what I liked most about publr is the clean way of showing the archives. How I wish tumblr could also be that clean, and leave more flexibility as to...

Reluctant Japanese groom sets hotel on fire
TOKYO (Reuters) – A Japanese man set fire to the hotel where he was due to get married at the weekend, rather than go through with the ceremony later the same day, newspaper reports said Monday. Tatsuhiko Kawata, 39, had gone along with wedding plans despite already having a wife, the Yomiuri newspaper said. “I thought if I set a fire I wouldn’t have to go through with the...

The Jorelle.Tuvillo.Name domain name
Registered the domain name jorelle.tuvillo.name in freeyourid.com. It’s valid during the 90-day free trial, and have to register it after. Would have been glad to refer it to friends so they can start blogging on their own...

Why the change of domain name to get rid of www
I’ve changed my domain name to get rid of the prefix “www”. It was a tough decision to make. I needed to change a lot of permalinks, including but not limited to google analytics, feedburner, in my comments in various blogs and forums, etc. But why the change? First and foremost, I liked it that my domain name is so short. Only 5 characters before the .net. Then why make it...

Disable and delete WordPress Post Revisions
Included feature in WordPress 2.6 is the ability to save post revisions. This is especially helpful to multi-authored blogs. But in my blog, where I’m the only author, I find it useless. WCC R08: Draw in 39, Anand one point from victory →
For the first time in this match, Kramnik said, he had a tangible advantage. Not enough, though, for a much-needed win. “The game will be a draw,” said his friend GM Evgeny Bareev in the press room. How did he know? By the colour of Anand’s sweater. Anand now has 5.5 points and needs just one more from the remaining four games to retain his title.
